Personal Home Care Services

If you or a loved one has recently had surgery, a significant illness, or accident, you may need short-term rehabilitation.  Suddenly, you may need assistance with personal tasks that can be awkward and uncomfortable.  Having someone outside the family to help with personal care allows you or your family member to maintain a sense of dignity, and to keep the details of health issues confidential. Toward this end, Personal Care means the tasks are directed toward maintaining, strengthening, or safeguarding the functioning of the person in his or her home.

Examples of Personal Services include:

  • Grooming
  • Dressing
  • Bathing
  • Toileting
  • Assistance with walking (ambulatory)
  • Turn/position in bed (bedridden)
  • Transfer (bed/chair/wheelchair)
  • Medication reminders
